July was a month of great adventures in the heat, and also a time for some rest. We were able to get away to Galveston for a couple of days to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. It was a great time to relax and celebrate, and to look forward to all that is ahead.
We are excited to let you know about two new partnership opportunities that were established in July on PfISD campuses. COVID restrictions are finally being lifted, and these partnership will be huge inroads for CrossWalk-Pflugerville! First, Heath has been asked to be a Character Coach for a new Fellowship of Christian Students Huddle (small group Bible study) that will meet at Dessau Middle School. This will be an incredible way to demonstrate the love of Christ with students. Our second partnership is with Dessau Elementary School. We are going to be allowed on campus to be a part of teacher/staff prayer times, to mentor students and parents, to provide support and care for teachers, and to serve the school in numerous other ways. Please pray for these partnerships, and especially pray for the partnership with Dessau ES. This is a HUGE opportunity in our area where this type of access is typically not granted. This is all so very exciting for us!
We are so very thankful for our Gospel partners! If you or your group would like to partner with us as well, please begin to do so by praying with us. As you all know, prayer is our most valued partnership! If you would like to partner with us "in the trenches" here, please email us or call us so we can begin the conversation. If God is leading you to generously give a one-time gift or establish an ongoing gift to the work of CrossWalk-Pflugerville, you can text GIVE to (512)877-6482 or click this link: https://www.crosswalkpf.church/give (or the blue Give tab at the top of this page). If you do choose to give electronically, please select "CrossWalk-Pflugerville" in the drop-down menu.
We are praying for all teachers, staff and administration as the new school year begins. We hope you have a fantastic and safe 2022-23 year.
For the love of Pflugerville,
Heath & Karen
