What an AWESOME month we had in March! There is lots of new activity stirring in our area as all COVID protocols and restrictions have been lifted. It feels like a new energy in the air, like a fresh spring season is supposed to bring (but it can keep its allergies). People are out and about like nothing we have seen in over two years. It is so very exciting!
Over spring break, we were able to host two mission teams. The first was a group of middle school students from Champion Forest in Houston. They helped us serve small businesses in the downtown Pflugerville area as well as pick-up trash in the neighborhood nearby. The students worked very hard, and they helped us enhance relationships with everyone we served.
The second team was a combined group of college students from Victory Life Church of Lubbock and First Baptist Church of Frisco. They helped us serve a couple of local businesses and mission organizations as well as knock on 690 doors in west Pflugerville. It was on the first afternoon of the door-to-door work that a lady gave her life to Christ, a FIRST for CrossWalk-Pflugerville. It was such a beautiful encounter as she told us how she had been running from God, feared death and hell, and in a moment of surrender experienced peace and joy like she had never known. Praise the Lord! He is so good!
As March wrapped up, we have been seeing new faces connect with us, including some resulting from the spring break work. It is so exciting to think what may be next!
We would ask you to continue to pray with us moving forward. For April, our emphasis is "Sunday Is Coming," and we are focusing on the life, death and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. At the end of the month, we will celebrate with a Baptism Service. Please pray that God would continue to work in amazing ways and that lives are changed by His grace.
In closing, would you prayerfully consider giving to CrossWalk-Pflugerville? When you partner with us in this way, we are able to maintain and expand our work. As always, all of your gifts are 100% tax deductible. If you are able to partner with us financially, please click the button below that reads "Give to CrossWalk-Pflugerville." Thank you in advance.
5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. 7 And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”Matthew 28:5-7
